Meet the Developer

Welcome to The On-Line Clubhouse my name is Doug Levy and like most of you I love golf, I also operate Doug Levy Web Designs. I’ve belonged to several golf clubs over the past 20 years, and wished the tournament director could provide tournament information promptly. I sat down and discussed my thoughts with my wife and designed a very easy to use tournament result system.  My idea started as a simple website which displayed tournament information in real-time and everyone loved it.  

I was approached about putting our monthly newsletter on the website; I took it one step further by creating a real-time on-line news page. Now announcements and reminders were being posted and members notified without waiting for a newsletter every month. This is where the news homepage came from!

A few year's later clubs were losing members due to the economy, I decided to tap my knowledge of internet marketing and Social Networking. They were already using software to post news on-line, so I integrated it to Facebook and Twitter which increase not only club participation, but also open more avenues for new memberships.  

Board members were shocked on how easy this system was to use, without any knowledge of internet marketing or computers in general.

 Now I can apply my love of golf, creating websites and working with golf organizations all over the world.
